The first step PGM takes in the mass grading process is to build a GPS model of the project site. After utilizing and loading the cut/fill data into our scrapers and motor graders, this GPS data is applied to build the substation/switchyard pad. Once this is accomplished, we build the pad utilizing onsite material per plans and specs or import engineered fill should there be no onsite material available per plans and specs. Finally, the new pad is certified for elevation and compaction requirements.
